Most two-player split-screen games are competitive, but there are a few
co-op games I know of:

Adventures of Cookie & Cream
TimeSplitters 2
SWAT
Medal of Honor: Rising Sun

Baldur's Gate and Gauntlet: Dark Legacy are also fun co-op games, albeit on
one screen (not split).

Cookie & Cream is one of the hardest games I have ever played. It sounds
like a freakin kids game. My wife and I tried to finish it because we were
coming off that Baldur's gate high and that game almost caused a divorce
because of the arguing.

*nod*

I haven't heard of one couple (even when both are gamers!) that didn't get
into an argument while playing this game.

Nifty idea, just too darn hard. The fact you have to restart from the
begining when you die/run out of time - and it's VERY easy to do both -
doesn't help any.

You could supposedly play both characters yourself, but I doubt 10% of the
general population has the dexterity to pull it off ;)

Dynasty Warriors 3 or 4 are both a blast to play co-op.

Oh yeah, forgot about those. Loads of fun when your character is the
biggest bad-ass on the battle field ;)

My favorite PS2 split-screen game, without a doubt, is Dynasty Warriors 4.
Addictive sprawling levels - you can really get a good distance from each
other. And crushing armies with elephants is fucking awesome.

I enojy Tony Hawk 3 & 4, as well as the SSX games on split screen.
