the myth that this game ran on NEC's 32-Bit PC-FX console is untrue.
the 2nd myth that it ran on 2 linked PC-Engine CoreGrafx II consoles
is also, at least partly, untrue.

-with info & comments I dug up from several places.
Although Hi-TEN Bomberman (1993, 1994) was used as the basis for
Saturn Bomberman (1996-1997), comparing Saturn's 10-player mode to Hi-
TEN makes Saturn Bomberman look a generation older. 10-player mode on
Saturn looks so much worse.
it's as if the Saturn 10-player mode looks like an 8-bit game or a
crude 16-bit game, whereas Hi-TEN looks more like a high-def "32-bit"
game. That dispite Saturn Bomberman being widely regarded as the best
Bomberman game ever made--which it is, in many ways. Saturn Bomberman
single player and other multi-player modes are awesome--don't get me
wrong. but the 10-player mode looks like it was a very much cut-down
version of Hi-TEN.
too bad Hi-TEN will never see the light of day as a commercial
release. it's truly the "Holy Grail" of Bomberman games.
