I just bought Time Crisis 3 for my son, and the add-on light guns
don't "work". We can't get them to callibrate with our inexpensive
Panasonic tv.

The directions on the tv say to set the "Screen type" and then
callibrate the 1P side. I don't see any options to choose between
screen types.

The manual also says "Guncon2 does not support hi-vision, LCD, plasma
displays, or projection tvs. Some progressive scan or high-level tvs
may also not be supported."

No where does it explain what any of this terminology means. As far as
I know, LCD/Plasma/Projection tvs are all out of my price range. This
is my tv:

hmm.. very strange. Your TV is a standard non-progressive tube, and
shouldn't have any problem with the lightgun. You're using the
composite pass through on the Guncon right? ie: in addition to
plugging the USB connector into the PS2 you're also plugging the video
out from your PS2 into the composite passthru connector on the Guncon2
and then plug the passthru connector into the TV right?

He should also clean his screen, and potentially adjust the brightness.

We're cleaning the screen and adjusting the brightness as suggested.
My son said "There's a video out on my PS2???" which sort of indicates
he was perhaps missing this step. We'll try finding it and going from
there.

Thanks to both of you for your answers.
